Today, with the help of digital technologies, people can travel easily and find places they have never been before. However, using digital tools such as smartphones etc., especially through certain applications with specific aims is sometimes challenging for those adults who were not born as digital natives. One of the most popular apps useful in everyday life is an online map in which we can find the shortest route to somewhere easily.

The participants will learn how to use online maps to find their way and be able to recognize these tech-based navigation systems.

Educators
The necessity of being able to use ICT and capable of communicating in modern means is inevitable for all. In order to equip our target group with these skills, our trainers should:
- Be able to use ICT;
- Be able to understand the learning needs of the target group;
- Be capable of designing an effective course for adults.

Learners
In order to gain planned skills and learning outcomes, the learners should:
- Have basic ICT skills;
- Be literate;
- Have essential equipment to join and apply learning activities.

There are different ways to find a place that you have never been before, such as asking someone to describe the route for you or finding a well-known benchmark and trying to guess the right destination. However, with the help of smartphones and internet connection, we can use online maps and find any places that we need. The trainer will show how to use these map applications, typing the name of the place and getting a route description from the application. The trainees, on the other hand, will learn to find the place they have never been and create the best route. In this activity, the trainer will be at the pre-determined destination while the trainees will join from their houses/offices etc. and at the end of the activity, they are expected to find the trainer as a learning outcome.

We will use Google Maps just because it is easy to find; any other map provider can also be used. The courses will be recorded with a screen recorder so that the participants can watch them later in case they need an extra chance to remember how to do them.
