Camera A: should be focused on the board game. Camera B, C, D & E : should be focused on the racks. ( Cameras should be placed according to how many players are playing the game) (This is just an example of 4 players playing against each other) B = Player 1 C = Player 2 D = Player 3 E = Player 4
- Set up the board game and racks - to play.
- Every player should have a dictionary or mobile - to search for valid words.
- Every player should have a pen or pencil and a paper to count the points (after every round).
- Determine who starts the game - by picking up a letter from the bag. (The player who gets the Letter A or the closest gets to play first).
- Each player picks 7 tiles from the bag onto the rack.
- Each tile has a number. This number represents the points.
- First player receives Double Word Bonus for the word played. Example: For a 10 point word you'll earn 20 points.
- New tiles must be picked up from the bag at the end of each turn. Example: Player 1 lays down 4 tiles - Player 1 should draw 4 new tiles.
- Go clockwise to give the next player a turn.
- The Learner helps out by laying the tiles (according to the players word) for those playing on the other end. Example: Player 2 (Michelle, who is on the other side of the Hybrid call) needs to build off, of players 1 (Robert's) word using the letters (tiles) from her rack. Let's say Michelle uses F - A -G from the rack. For instance - player 1 (Robert) played the word SPOIL and player 2 (Michelle) uses the letter L to spell FLAG. Michelle must count the points and draws 3 letters from the bag. Although Michelle didn't use the letter L from her rack, she must add it to her points, since she used it to make the word FLAG.
- Now it's player 3 (Jake's) turn. Jake must see what letters he can add to make a new word.
- Letters must be spelled in a horizontal row or a vertical column. Diagonal line is not allowed.
- When a player finds it difficult to make a word, they can change the letters (tiles) or make a PASS. The player who decides to change the letters (tiles), must put them in the bag, shuffle the bag and then pick up the amount of letters (tiles) needed. Remember one must always have 7 letters (tiles). This is a turn. The player can't lay down any words on the board.
- The game is finished once a player has used all the tiles and there are none left to pick from the bag or there are no letters that can be played to make up a word.
- The remaining letters left on the players rack should be deducted from the points - (according to the number on the tile). Example: These are the points when Michelle got rid of all her letters (tiles) Robert = 102 pts Michelle = 97 pts Jake = 200pts Robert had 3 letters (tiles) left on his rack (4+2+1=) 7pts these must be deducted from 102 pts = 95pts Jake had 1 letter (tile) left on his rack but this was marked (10) = 10pts subtracting from 200pts = 190pts. Since Michelle was left with no tiles she gets the points of the other players added to her sum of points. 97 + 7 (Robert's points) + 10 (Jake's points) = 114 pts. Although Michelle got rid of the letters (tiles) first, still (another player) Jake won the game. Therefore points can defer the game.
- Concentrate and try to include the letters (tiles) having the highest number... these leads to your points.
