For all people, daily physical activity should consist of leisure activities and physical education and various planned activities with family or school. Since we all spend a lot of time online is a good opportunity to increase our physical activity with various activities that support physical activity. Recreational breaks are short physically active breaks during lessons.
Exercise breaks allow:
Integrate physical activity and current lesson topic
To offer students a creative and fun change to the lesson topic
To arouse students’ interest in physical activity
Exercise breaks can consist of various activities that require motor skills such as jumping or balancing on one leg, various games and tasks that require coordination, dancing, stretching and gymnastics exercises.

Before carrying out exercise breaks, explain to the children why exercise breaks are needed and why physical activity is important for us.
Agree on specific rules for how breaks are started and ended - in this case, you can avoid wasting valuable time.
Take part in the movement breaks yourself, as this encourages and motivates the students to actively participate in the movement break. Movement breaks reflect the teacher's personal attitude towards movement breaks and the accompanying activities - the more positive your attitude is, the more receptive the children are to movement breaks.
Give children time to get used to movement breaks!
You can let the students choose their own moves - in this case there are no "wrong moves".
After the refreshment break.
Ask students for the feedback! It is important for students to involve them in the process, and those activities that bring more joy are done more eagerly.
Length and frequency of exercise breaks:
Movement breaks could take place in the middle of the lesson. You should not be afraid to take movement breaks during some tests or control work.
The length of movement breaks is usually 5-10 minutes but depends on the student's participation and daily schedule.

Learners
There are different ways to conduct exercise breaks:
imitation of activities according to activity maps
active movement according to movement videos
Imitation of actions presented in (fairy) stories
and other opportunities that provide movement
Movement breaks should create a positive atmosphere and emotion in the class.
The introduction of exercise breaks into the school system should initially be started from the younger age group - they are more receptive to activities and generally enjoy exercise more than students of older levels.
When choosing exercise breaks, keep in mind that:
would be age appropriate
would be gender neutral, i.e. suitable for both boys and girls
could include, in addition to the intense activity, stretching and coordination exercises that can be performed at the end of the break.

the imaginary line connecting the two shoulders must be parallel to the ceiling plane.

Sample exercises for hands
Take a break of about 10 seconds while working on the computer, during which drop your arms relaxed to your sides, shake them, oscillate back and forth, and round your shoulders.
Take a 3-4 minute break while working at the computer, during which you do exercises while sitting:
1) raise your shoulders and lower them, circle;
2) hands loosely on the sides, slowly tilt the head to one shoulder, tighten the muscles and raise the head back to the upright position; relax and then do the same exercise on the other side;
3) stretch your straight arms at the sides down towards the floor, stretch your neck forward and up, hold the position and tense for a moment and relax;
4) raise your arms from the side, taking a deep breath at the same time (keep your head between your hands), hold the position for a moment and relax – lower your arms and head;
5) rest your elbow on the table, press your forehead firmly against your palm, tense your neck muscles and relax; then from a straight position rest your hand against your ear, tighten your neck muscles and relax and repeat the same with the other hand
